Getting the help that you need when you are having problems with your wireless network can be a very trying time in any person's life. After all, most of us spend a lot of time getting our wireless network just the way we wanted it. Well, the good news is, when you are having problems, there is always wireless network troubleshooting that is there to help you figure out what the problem is. The reason why you have to count on troubleshooting is because of the fact that when you have a wireless network, there are a number of things that can go wrong. You have to be able to check your modem, your routers, and things like that. Now we are going to go over a few wireless network troubleshooting tips that could help you in your time of need. First of all, what you are going to want to check out and see is if you even still have internet. A lot of times we just think it's our wireless network right away when really the internet may be down. So what you need to do to check this is go look at your modem. See if there is a light that is green that says connected. If it does not, then there is something wrong with your modem or your internet. The best thing to do is to unplug your modem for a few seconds, and then plug it back in. This is going to refresh the signal that is going to it. If that does not work, call your internet provider and see if their internet is down in your area. If it's not, then it's time to move on. A lot of times your wireless network troubleshooting people forget to check their routers. Although we do not like to think about it, our routers mess up quite a bit. The good news is that this something that is easy to fix. Just like your modem, all you need to do is unplug it for a second and refresh the connection. Nine times out of ten this will fix your problem. If it does not, then try unplugging it and the cord that connects it to the modem and restarting your computer. Nothing works better than a rebooted system. If that still does not work, we have one more trick up our selves. Wireless network troubleshooting is a lot of guess and check. If you are still having problems connecting, what you need to do is take your router out of the loop and see if it works then. Unplug your router and take your internet cord that is running from your modem and hook it up to the computer. This is just bypassing your router. Now if you have internet, then you are just having problems with your router. The good news is, your internet is fine. The bad news is, you may need a new router.
